Maternal
Health
Maternal mental health includes any issues surrounding pre-conception, pregnancy, postpartum, and beyond. Pregnancy and childbirth change not only our bodies, but can also alter our sense of identity and person-hood. Through therapy, we will explore self-care, coping skills for stress management, and evaluate how we can best balance parenthood with our own identity.

For some women, pregnancy can exacerbate pre-existing mental health concerns such as anxiety and depression. Utilizing therapeutic services can alleviate these symptoms and provide a safe place to explore the impact of these emotions on your well-being.

Therapy can also be used to facilitate infant bonding and to build a strong foundation for parents to adapt to parenthood.
